Our rules for ripping cd's • Ripping Do the wav files using Fraunhofer codec and tools such as Audiograbber, Windac, Cdrwin and Mp3 producer pro. Always use 192kbps HQ. • Creating a folder Create a folder for the songs named like this: _-_(-ATM for example: Modern_Talking_-_Back_For_Good_(1998)-ATM when doing a varoius artists album use VA_- as artist name, this is optional, in this case you can just skip the _-_ if you want to move the songs into this folder. Use atmreleasewiz to rename/id3/sfv/nfo • Things to remember - Be careful, dont use special chars like ',!,[,],ö in the dirname or filenames RIAA filename spec will remove them from filenames but not dirnames of course, the dirnames are the rippers responsibility! - It is very important to press the rename button before generating sfv or else all files will fail the crc check - To be sure, use a sfv checker like winsfv32 to check integrity of the files just before upload - No file names will be longer than 64 chars, this is the reason why i check RIAA box for albums thats not various artists, song names can be longer this way - If you feel sure on what youre doing, one extra step is possible between 4 and 5 above. if the song names are longer than the id3 field first rename, then clear playlist, rename the files manually adding the missing chars (64 chars maximum!), drop all songs on tagedit and continue with step 5. - It is fun to read comments about the album, not just a ":)" or "cool shit" if you cant think of something to write, notes quotes and official reviews about the artist/album can usually be found on www.amazon.com, www.allmusic.com or www.cdnow.com, please include as often as possible. I often need to have more space available for comments in the .nfo, in those cases edit the .nfo and paste in the comment field. .:¨:. ATM .:¨:.
